Spellbinders | Summer Solstice by Susan Tierney-Cockburn | Best Wishes

Today I’m excited to share a vibrant and dimensional greeting card created with the beautiful Cosmos Etched dies from the new Summer Solstice Garden Collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn for Spellbinders.

One of the things I loved most about these dies is how easy they are to use. Each die has a guide indicating how many pieces to cut for each flower—making the creative process smooth and enjoyable.
To cut the Cosmos, I used solid colored cardstock and added ink shading to enhance and brighten the tones. Then I gently shaped the edges of the petals to give them a natural flow and movement, to brings the flowers to life.

I chose a vibrant color palette with orange, blue, and purple to create a cheerful, eye-catching look.

I embossed the background panel with Floral Fence of Togetherness embossing folder, adding subtle elegance and texture. I also cut Eyelet Scallop Border Etched from the Spellbinders Vivid Collection in pink at the bottom to tie together the floral tones and bring a soft, feminine touch to the crisp white base.

For the sentiment. I used the Glimmer Hot Foil System with gold foil and I used one of Yana’s sentiment first Glimmer plates to “Best Wishes”, I die-cut it four extra times and stacked the layers for added depth.

šŸŽØ I loved working with these colors, but what truly makes these dies special is their versatility. Simply changing the palette can make them perfect for birthdays, thank-you cards, or any other celebration you can imagine!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my cards and will give this gorgeous collection a look!
