Some Days are Better {Festive Friday FF0039}

Welcome to my blog!
Today is time for another Festive Friday Challenge!

Challenge FF0039

you can use both or either for your project .
The challenge runs until August 5th, so have lots of time to join

This time I was inspired by LIGHT RAYS

 I was also inspired by the sentiment of this cute set Hello Sunshine from Paper trey Ink
it was exactly what I need for to make this comforting card.
I used Sunrise Impression Plate for the background also from PTI, distress the edges using brown ink, for the sentiment used black Memento ink and cut it using Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Squares. Enhanced it with some holografic yellow sequins.

Tip: for the raise effect on the sentiment, I used some foam board to add it to the front of the card.

Go back to Festive Friday blog and check out the project from my fellow Design Team for some inspiration.

Eres una Bendicion {Stick It Down}

Hello and Welcome to my blog!
Is time for July Stick It Down sketch!

Here's July Sketch:

July Card Sketch

July's sponsor is Cheapo dies

Here's my take on this month's sketch:

for my card I used papers from K&Company Sweet Nectar Designer Mat pad and some scraps from my desk to cut out the flower using Frilly Flowers, Larger than Life (leaves) and Beautiful Bloom II die from PTI. Sentiment is from Tu Eres Especial set that I designed couple of years ago (spanish sentiment for cardmakers); used black memento ink, finished the card using some sequins and a sparkle mini button for the center of the fower.

I hope you get inspire by this project to create your own and participate with us at Stick It Down for a chance to win some goodies!  Don't forget to check out what the other DT members had create.

all papers are from the scrap stash on my desk, is a digital image Poppies from our sponsor Beccy's Place colored using copics markers, for the center I used clear glitter to enhance it. In this picture you can see it more clearly.

You are simply the Best {Festive Friday FF0038}

Welcome to another great Friday!
Today is time for another Festive Friday Challenge!

Challenge FF0038

#festivefridaychallenge, #FF0038, Parent's Day, Watercolor cards

you can use both or either themes for your project. This challenge runs until July 28th,
you have lots of time to join in the festivities!

If you get really inspired you can enter up to 3 times.

I was inspired by WATERCOLOR is one of my favorite techniques lately.

first of all I did not start with this layout of design in mind... I was going to create something else.
but when I started I didn't like the first background and then I change the whole sketch all over ...
I created the embossed background using - I have to say this was my first ever embossing folder Victoria to use with my Cuttlebug machine; and I have to say that I love it, I kind of use for everything! I stamped in black in the butterflies from the past monthly set from Simon Says Stamps
Beautiful day that I received the other day and was eager to try.

Here's a closer look of the cute Butterflies

I used my watercolor pencils and water brush to brighten the color up.
then stamped the sentiment using black ink, and for the final touch used some sequins.
