Have a Sweet Day | Crafty Tools | Spellbinders

 Hello crafty friends! 

Today I’m sharing a sweet, colorful card using the gorgeous Simple Stories Crafty Babe collection by Spellbinders, combining the Crafty Tools and Labels & Icons die sets. This project is meant to inspire you to mix shapes, textures, and inky techniques. 

For my focal point: I cut two hearts using Labels & Icons in aqua and mustard with polka dot patterns. Then, I die-cut two paintbrushes from the Crafty Tools set in gray and black, adding pink and aqua tips for a fun pop of color.

On my glass mat, I added Distress Oxide inks in: picked raspberry, peacock feathers and spiced marmalade, sprayed a bit of water, and pressed a watercolor cs white panel over it. Moving it slightly helped blend the colors naturally for a soft, artistic finish.

Then I mounted the background over black cardstock and adhered it to my A2 card base. Then layered the hearts, brushes, and the stamped banner from the Advent Calendar 2025. 

When you play with water and ink! Each background turns out different and adds an organic, artsy feel to cards.

And to finished off......a few gold rhinestones on the right edge added that perfect sparkle !!
