It’s your Special Day? Guit Outta Here! TAG | POLKADOODLES Challenge
Hello and Welcome Crafters!
Today I’m excited to share this cute TAG for the challenge at Polkadoodles Blog titled Just Because, I stepped out of my usual routine and revisited some techniques I hadn’t used in a while. I started by blending Distress Oxide inks in Picked Raspberry, Fossilized Amber, and Tumbled Glass to create a soft, colorful background. Then, I added a few drops of water to activate the ink and create those magical speckles we all love.
To give the edges a vintage feel, I used Distress Ink in Vintage Photo — the result was warm and charming.
The Your Love Lifts Me Up Balloon digi stamp was the perfect focal point, and I colored it with my Copic markers to bring the sweet bunny duo to life. I absolutely loved the outcome — they look like they’re floating off into a celebration!
To tie it all together, I used the sentiment It’s your Special Day? Guit Outta Here! from the Gnome Men Sentiment Greeting set, blending the edges with Vintage Photo to match the background. I finished the tag with a yellow ribbon and a few gold rhinestones.
This tag totally stole my heart — not just for how it looks, but for how much I enjoyed the creative process. Reconnecting with these techniques was the best part of the challenge!
